After Banff, Monte Veritá and Cyprus, the 4th Workshop “Viscoplastic Fluids: From Theory to Application” will be held in Marina Palace Hotel, Leblon beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in November 2011.
Objective
The objective of the workshop is to bring together the leading researchers in the field of viscoplastic fluids, across several disciplines, to foster awareness and the cross-disciplinary transfer of ideas.

The topics that will be discussed in this edition of the workshop are:

Mathematical modelling
Numerical modelling
Time-dependent fluids
Fluid mechanics
Industrial applications: concrete, slurries, petroleum, cosmetics, food, geophysical flows, flows of biological fluids, etc.
The workshop is sponsored by the Brazilian Society of Rheology (SBR,www.sbreologia.com.br), and by the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). The workshop will have a single technical session, with four invited lectures.
